My Legal World!

By Junior Yvan Evina

Law student, public speaker, writer

Some vocations are born early and never waver. Mine dates back to the age of twelve, when I decided I would become a lawyer and a writer. Since then, this twofold conviction has never ceased to grow, to sharpen and to unfold in many directions, without ever losing its guiding thread: law as an instrument of justice, dialogue and understanding of the world; and literature as a privileged means of expressing sensations. I am the author of two novels.

A student at the Faculty of Law in Nancy, I have distinguished myself through an outstanding academic record: top of my class, I am also fully involved in the life of my faculty. A polyglot, I speak French, English and Italian fluently, an openness to languages that reflects my taste for dialogue between cultures and legal systems.

My commitment to others dates back to high school, when I became a UNICEF Young Ambassador. That first experience gave me a taste for a more lasting commitment: today I also volunteer with Afev Nancy, an association that mentors and academically supports young children from disadvantaged backgrounds. This commitment goes hand in hand with a recognised talent for public speaking: a prize-winner in several eloquence competitions, I have made speech both an art and a tool, convinced that to plead well is, first and foremost, to think well and to speak well.

A Plural Approach to Law

What sets me apart is the diversity of paths through which I explore law. I do not merely study it: I question it, I turn it into narrative, I examine it through the essay as well as through fiction. This dual approach, both sensitive and analytical, nurtures a distinctive legal reflection, where the rigour of reasoning engages with the freedom of imagination.

Curious about every field of law, I take a particular interest in business law and contract law, while cultivating a strong passion for international law, especially conflict of laws and jurisdiction. My ambition: to specialise in international commercial law and arbitration, at the crossroads of the fields that drive me.

A Passion for the Arts and Writing

A writer at heart, I nurture a broader passion for the arts in all their forms — literature, film, TV series, music. It is this passion that led me to found CGCP.EU, a digital cultural space designed as a meeting place for young writers and curious minds. There I publish my writing, discuss literary and cinematic works, debate and discover. I also offer my own novels for sale there, along with cultural recommendations born of my insatiable curiosity.

Between law and literature, advocacy and writing, community engagement and cultural creation, I am tracing a path that refuses boundaries between disciplines — driven by one and the same standard: to understand the world in order to navigate it and to tell its story.
